Kashimi Asai founded W&B project (Kashimi Asai with dancers) in 2010.
The company has performed along with Asai’s choreography including:
“Storm” in HAITI fundraise show THE HUE-MEN”, at House of yes, NY 2010; Her solo work “Shu ni Maziwareba” The 7th ZEN-TEN at Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, Tokyo Japan 2010;
She has been invited to perform as an annual special guest choreographer at SEEDDANCE company and choreograph and perform “Trick Me If You Dare” in SEEDDANCE company ROOTS tour 2010 in Taiwan at Tainan International Culture Central Theater, Kaohsiung Culture Central Theater and Ping-Tung Art Theater, Taiwan 2010.Also invited to teach at the elementary schools, junior high and high schools of Art in Tainan, Kaohsiung and Ping-Tung in Taiwan;
”Hi Na A Ra RE – Spring Night Dream-” in Oriental Spectacular spring show at Lafayette Grill 2011, NY; “Haru Kimi Omofu- Thinking of Japan” at HOPE- fundraising performance for Earthquake/Tsunami victims in Japan at Dance New Amsterdam, NY, Tiny Hand’s Big Love Project at The Living Room, NY and [SOS] Hope for Japan! About “Haru Kimi Omofu- Thinking of Japan”, the company was interviewed on Japanese national TV FCI and the several Japanese newspapers.
She has also choreographed for cabaret style contemporary pieces for a small venue like a bar, live house etc..“Splash” at Fontana’s, NY “kasa kasa Casa” at Tobacco Road.
She succeeded in her organizing performance event “Sparkly Night” at Je’bon, NY 2010 and “HOPE- fundraising performance for Earthquake/Tsunami victims in Japan” at Dance New Amsterdam, NY 2011
She also has performed and choreographed in a duet with Yumi Uematsu in KARAAGE TO UMEBOSHI, which they founded in 2008. They performed in Dumbo Dance Festival 2011.
